Now it’s May and the ACR Viper has been unveiled in all its glory. If you weren’t already excited, maybe the fact that Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis described the new supercar as the “fastest street-legal Viper track car” will do the trick. While the ACR is focused on scorching the track it does not have a new engine. Hopefully you’ll survive with only 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque.
So, what is the ACR Viper bringing to the table that we haven’t seen already? For starters, a new aero kit featuring a ton of carbon fiber parts. There’s a new splitter, diffuser, hood and that massive rear wing. In addition to the new body kit there’s also a new suspension system, featuring coil-over Bilstein race shocks that were made exclusively for the Viper ACR. The Kumho Ecsta tires are another ACR-exclusive. Despite being ostensibly a track car the new Viper’s cabin looks pretty cozy. Pricing hasn’t been announced but the Viper ACR will be released later in the year (Q3) and will be eligible for the Dodge's insane “1 of 1” customization program.
