The 2017 Ducati Monster 797 has been showcased at the 2017 Bangkok International Motor Show. The bike, first showcased at EICMA 2016 last November, offers old world charm with the perfect balance of modernity.

The bike is powered by the air-cooled 803 cc L-twin mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 75 hp of maximum power at 8,250 rpm and 68.9 Nm of peak torque. 90 percent of the output is available between 4,000 to 8,500 rpm. The wheelbase at 1,435 mm is shorter than the liquid-cooled Monster 821.

The Ducati Monster 797 is suspended over 43 mm Kayaba fork up front and a Sachs monoshock in the rear with adjustable spring preload and rebound, positioned on the left side of the bike and connected without progressive linkage to the frame and swingarm. The bike tips the scales at 193 kg and can store 16.5-litre of petrol.

The brakes include twin 320 mm disc in the front with M4.32 four piston calliper and a 245 mm unit in the rear with a single piston calliper. Bosch ABS is standard. The bike gets an all-digital instrumentation and gets an underseat USB port.
