Italian bike builder Ducati has revealed the first of its new models for 2017. The bike is the SuperSport and it aims to be sporty yet appropriate for commuting and touring.

The SuperSport features a 113-horsepower engine displacing 937 cc and is fueled by a 4.2-gallon fuel tank suitable for medium-distance rides. The bike also comes with the Ducati Safety Pack, which features ABS and traction control. Not only that, but it receives the full complement of riding modes from other Ducati bikes, including Sport, Touring and Urban. On those other bikes, the modes adjust throttle sensitivity, traction control and ABS intervention, and on Urban, can reduce the amount of power the bike puts down.

If you need something a bit sportier, Ducati also offers the SuperSport S. This model comes with adjustable Ohlins shocks and Ducati Quick Shift. The latter feature allows for upshifts without lifting the throttle, and allows for clutchless downshifts. It also gets a rear seat cover, which is optional on the standard SuperSport. Both versions of the SuperSport will be available this coming March.

This won't be the only new Ducati revealed for 2017, either. On November 7, the company will reveal additional new models at the Milan Motorcycle Show.
