You've just crossed over into The Toretto zone. Yes, the eighth installment of The Fast and Furious franchise is coming soon, and now the official trailer is out.
Spoler alert - do you really care about spoilers? Face it, you're here for the explosions, the ridiculous stunts, and possibly for The Rock's biceps. Anyway, there's a submarine. And Toretto is a bad guy. Twist! Whatever semblance of plot this movie has seems to center around Cipher (Charlize Theron) somehow getting Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) to turn is back on his Fast and Furious family. Yes, it's still all about family. It's mentioned four times in the trailer alone.
Also we see Hobbs (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) goto jail to hang out with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), I presume because the writers through the jailbreak scene in Face Off was so cool. Oh yeah, and Kurt Russell plays some kind of team leader role as a character named Mr. Nobody.
Also, explosions, wrecking balls, grappling hooks, and burnouts that make tire rubber burst into flames. It's everything you wanted in a F&F movie, but even more. The Fate of the Furious comes out in theaters and IMAX starting April 14, 2017. And yeah, we'll see you there. We're suckers for Ludacris one-liners (really, we are).
