Force India picks a pink palette for its new F1 car
McLaren-Honda's bright orange Formula 1 cars were looking to be strong contenders for the boldest color scheme of 2017.

However, the team's livery has been eclipsed by the latest from Force India, which will run a matte pink livery.

The new color scheme is tied to its new sponsor Best Water Technology, or BWT. The company is based in Austria and supplies water products for drinking, heating, cooling, and pools, among other things. The pink color scheme is accentuated by magenta and silver stripes, and a black lower section. Force India's drivers, Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez, will even get pink helmets to go with the cars.

The white, red, gray, and blue colors most teams go with can get a bit dull, so we support a company willing to mix things up. And pink can become iconic, as with the Porsche 917 "Pink Pig." You'll be able to check out the new Force India cars when they take to the track at the Australian Grand Prix on March 26.
