Giant Toyota stand for Johannesburg International Motor Show
Toyota will celebrate the return of the Johannesburg International Motor Show in October with its biggest presence yet at the event.

The main exhibit in Hall 6 will showcase new models such as the FJ Cruiser, new Prius and several concept vehicles.

Johan van Zyl, president and CEO of Toyota SA, said: “Toyota SA has entered a new growth phase which started with the introduction of the Toyota FJ Cruiser. This will soon be followed by several other new models and culminate at the show where several previously unseen models will also be on display."

Toyota will also display its range of off-road vehicles, including Land Cruiser, Hilux and Fortuner models at its 4x4 Urban Trax display. 

IBOL PROJECT

Toyota’s will be working with the International Barcode of Life project (iBOL) to collect and document the DNA of living animal and plant species across SA. The scientists involved will be depart  from JIMS at a ceremonial send-off on October 8, 2011.

Fans will be able to experience an exhilarating ride in the Japanese automaker’s tuned Aygo Crazy.

JIMS will run at the Johannesburg Expo Centre from October 6-16 with the show opening to the public on October 8 after two days of news media exclusivity.

Entrance will cost R80 (Rs 310) for adults, R20 (Rs 78) for children (aged six to 12). Under six years free.
