He Stole a car in Curepipe To Be a Taxi Driver in Rose Hill
A man was apprehended by police on suspicion of using a stolen car to the taxi. The owner, a resident of Curepipe, was reported missing from his vehicle last October.

He operated as a taxi driver in a stolen car. Kemil Seewoochurn, a resident of Rose Hill, was arrested by police while conducting a race in the region of Piacenza. The suspect vehicle had a false license plate and the driver was known to the police.

Led to the police station of Rose Hill, the 29 year old man was detained on suspicion of stealing the gray Nissan with an inhabitant of Curepipe, on October 29. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) of Curepipe which is handling the matter at length interrogated the suspect.

Ladan Mohamed Nizam, a resident of Curepipe, has identified the vehicle as his own. He also confirmed having collected a testimony to that effect to the police station of Curepipe.

Another case of car theft was listed in Curepipe, Saturday, Jan. 21. A bank employee of 42 years has had the unfortunate surprise to discover that his Toyota Vitz, silver gray in color, had disappeared.

According to the owner, the theft was committed on the night of Friday to Saturday, as he slept. In his statement recorded at the police station of Curepipe, he explains that it is at 9:45 he realized that his car had disappeared. The CID investigation is ongoing.
