Heroic Bus Driver Avoids Death

This is why it's important to have bus drivers that have both good driving skills and knowledge of what to do during and after an accident.

One such driver, Mao Zhihao of China, had to put these traits to use. A CCTV camera on the bus caught his close shave with death as a falling lamp pole smashed through the window. The video shows how the pole actually hits Mao, although his  reflexes helped avoid too much damage.

He has been hailed a hero after he was able to free himself, bring the bus to a stop and help passengers off.
