Buckets of horsepower, comfort and luxury. But which is best?
The UK show Fifth Gear (think of it like a poor man’s Top Gear) recently compiled a comparison test between two of the most powerful luxury SUVs on the market. On paper, the contest looks promising. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Mercedes ML63 AMG both serve up in excess of 500 horsepower, can both sprint from 0-62 mph in less than five seconds, and are both all-wheel drive. The Benz has slightly more power, but the Porsche is lighter.
Former professional racer Tiff Needell and rally/stunt driver Mark Higgins are more than competent behind the wheels of these heavyweight SUVs, and while the outcome is close, there’s a clear winner. Check the video to see which comes out on top.
