Honda Amaze Launched in South Africa
The Honda Amaze has been silently launched in South Africa some six months after the launch of the Brio hatchback which is shipped from India.

Honda South Africa has found many first time customers with the Brio and it’s quite natural to substantiate the lineup with a sedan. The Amaze sits as the most affordable sedan (while the Ballade and Civic partake in higher segments and help in brand building) fighting it out with Chinese and Indian imports.

The South Africa spec model is powered by the 1.2 litre i-VTEC petrol engine which puts out 87 bhp and 109 Nm of torque. The car is available in two variants – Trend and Comfort.

The Trend variant is available only with the 5-speed manual transmission while the top end Comfort variant offers both the 5-speed manual and automatic transmission.

The Trend packs in decent level of equipment that include AC, power windows, height adjustable steering wheel, dual airbags and ABS. The top end variant adds alloy wheels, foglights, silver accents for interior, four-speaker USB/Aux audio system with steering mounted controls, remote central locking and rear defogger.
