The Honda CBR250RR is the production version of the Honda Light Weight Super Sports Concept that was introduced at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The new quarter-litre motorcycle will rival the Yamaha R25, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 and the likes.
A newly designed steel pipe truss frame, dual-LED headlights, Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) system, selectable 3-way engine mode settings and 310 mm (front) and 240 mm (rear) disc brakes with optional ABS (both front and rear) are the key features of the Honda CBR250RR. It's powered by a newly developed 249.7 cc PGM-FI liquid-cooled straight-twin engine that sends power via a 6-speed transmission.
The Honda CBR250RR will be built in Indonesia and will be launched there by the end of 2016. It will be available in Honda Racing Red, Anchor Graymetallic and Mat Gunpower Black Metallic colour schemes. The CBR250RR has been confirmed to be launched in Japan as well. However, it's not planned to be brought to India as of now, Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, confirmed last month.
