Honda CBR300R Complete Details Now Available
The Honda CBR300R was unveiled a couple of days ago at the 12th China International Motorcycle Trade Exhibition which was held in Chongqing. At the time of the unveil, Honda informed us that the bike would be made at their Thailand facility and exported to other global markets.

The Honda CBR300R will be powered by a single-cylinder, 286cc engine capable of outputting 30.44 hp at 8,500 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. While there is no official confirmation on this, the engine used here could be derived from the CBR250R’s power plant given that the bore diameters of 76 mm are the same, with only the stoke length varying at 63 mm for the 300R and 55 mm for the 250R.

For reference purposes, the CBR250R produces 26.13 hp and 22.9 Nm of torque. Though the transmission details of the 300R are not seen in this image, it should get a 6-speed gearbox.

The motorcycle will measure 2,035mm in length, 720mm in width and 1,120mm in height, with a kerb weight of 164 kg for the ABS equipped model. We also learn that the CBR300R will get 110/70, 17-inch wheels at the front and 140/70, 17-inch wheels for the rear.

The CBR300R is expected to be launched in India in 2014 and will compete with the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
