The Big Red is reportedly going back to the older models to dominate the market of dual purpose motorcycles. A new patent sketch has come up on MoreBikes of a bike which could be a modern day Honda Dominator.

The bike will get multiple riding modes, operated via a switch on the left handlebar. This switch will select what kind of riding dynamics the rider seeks depending on the terrain. The sketch reveals that the bike will have a relaxed riding position and cushioned seat for additional comfort. Luggage carrying capabilities are enhanced by panniers and possibly even a topbox.

Engine displacement details are sketchy at the moment. The Honda Dominator sold till the early 2000s had an engine displacement ranging from 125 cc to 650 cc but the born again Dominator might not be a big displacement machine.

The report says that the Honda Dominator might be a quarter litre motorcycle for Asian markets and the European version could employ a 300 cc engine.

The growing small capacity range of adventure tourers have the BMW G 310GS, Kawasaki X250/X300 and the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure. The Honda Dominator will be an excellent addition to that list.
