The 2017 Nissan Micra was unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show last month, and weeks later, live images from Autovisie show the all-new model in daylight.

The Euro-spec fifth-gen Nissan Micra is still sometime away from reaching customers, as March 2017 has been officially confirmed as when the car goes on sale. The all-new Euro-spec Micra will be made in France, while the AMEI (Asia, Middle East and India) region will get different next-gen model that will be India-made.

The fifth-gen Nissan Micra makes a big statement with a revolutionary makeover. Derived from the Nissan Sway Concept, the new generation model measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,742 mm in width, 1,452 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,525 mm. Compared to the India-made outgoing model (for Europe), it is 170 mm longer, 77 mm wider and 69 mm shorter, and has a 75 mm longer wheelbase.

The 2017 Nissan Micra will be available with a 90 hp 0.9-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine and a 90 hp 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine initially. A 73 hp 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine be introduced soon after the car's launch. A 5-speed manual transmission will be standard.

LED signature lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, hidden rear door handles, flat-bottom steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility, 6-speaker BOSE PERSONAL audio system and over 125 different available exterior and interior customisation options are some of the highlights of the 2017 Nissan Micra.
