Yes, this can seriously be done.
Having your car battery die on you can be as annoying as hell. It always seems to happen at the very worst time. But it’s a part of car ownership and we have to just deal with it. You may have jumper cables, or you may not. There could be a friendly passerby willing to give you a jump, or maybe there won’t be. In situations where neither method can be used to give your dead battery some extra juice, there are extreme measures that can be taken. One such measure is to charge the battery with a chainsaw. No joke.
