Hyundai Creta STC (Creta pick up) unveiled in Brazil
Along with the Brazil-spec Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Brazil pulled off a surprise reveal by taking the wraps off the Hyundai Creta STC (Sport Truck Concept) at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show.

It previews a possible rival to the Renault Duster Oroch and Fiat Toro.

The Creta STC measures 4.65 m long, 1.85 m wide and 1.63 m long and has a wheelbase of 2.80 m. Compared to the Creta, it is 38 cm longer, 7 cm wider and has a 21 cm longer wheelbase. The front-face is largely similar to the Brazil-spec Hyundai Creta, but with conceptual touches. The profile styling looks similar to the Hyundai Santa Cruz pick up concept unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.

It follows the space-cab pick-up bodystyle, and has a truck bed that measures 1.30 m long, 1.29 m wide and a height of .51 m, and has a volume of 850 L.

If it goes into production, the Creta STC is likely to borrow the Creta SUV's engine lineup, which includes a 1.6L Gamma with 128.1 hp and 16.5 kg.m of peak torque, and a 2.0L Nu four cylinder engine with 166 hp and 20.5 kg.m of peak torque. It's unclear if Hyundai will offer an AWD system like its rivals do.
