Hyundai has included the Android Auto in-car infotainment technology to the Australian spec Tucson. The smartphone mirroring feature is a free upgrade to existing customers and takes just 15 min at the dealership to activate.

The Android Auto system lets drivers and passengers to mirror smartphones to view maps, send text messages, make phone calls and load apps from their car’s touchscreen.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson measures 4,475 in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,645 mm/1,650 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,670 mm. The Kia Sportage’s mechanical twin is offered with an array of naturally aspirated and turbocharged engine options, front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive drivetrain layout configurations and transmission choices.

Depending on the market, engine options include 1.6-litre Turbo GDI petrol, 2.0-litre MPi petrol, 2.0-litre GDi petrol, 1.7-litre CRDi diesel and 2.0-litre CRDi diesel. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch.

Key features of the 2016 Hyundai Tucson LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 19-inch alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, LED tail lamps, heated front and rear seats, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, 6-speaker sound system, six airbags, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
