The India-bound Toyota Fortuner is currently being showcased at the 2016 GIIAS in Indonesia. It was launched in January this year.

The Fortuner in Indonesia is available in both petrol and diesel avatars. Exclusive to the SRZ grade, the former is powered by a 2.7-litre Dual VVTi petrol engine that produces 163 PS (161 hp) and 24.7 kg-m (242 Nm), paired to a 6-speed automatic. The diesel variant packs the new 2.4-litre 2GD-FTV diesel engine that produces 149.6 PS (148 hp) and 40.8 kg-m (400 Nm) of torque.

In the base G trim, the Fortuner diesel variant is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, while a 6-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system are optional. In the VRZ grade, the 6-speed automatic transmission is standard, while an all-wheel drive system is optional.

As standard, the Fortuner comes equipped with projector halogen headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, tilt and telescoping steering with steering-mounted buttons, MID (Multi Information Display) functions, three drive modes (Eco, Normal & Power) and reversing camera.
