Renault's plant in Bursa, Turkey will serve as the global production hub for the Toyota Corolla rival.
The Renault Megane Sedan is built on the CMF C/D version of the Renault-Nissan Alliance's CMF (Common Module Family) platform. It's the third bodystyle of the fourth generation Renault Megane, and will replace the Renault Fluence when launched.
The Renault Megane Sedan will come as five variants globally: SCe 115 petrol (5MT/CVT), TCe 130 petrol (7DCT/6MT), dCi 90 diesel (5MT), dCi 110 diesel (6MT/6DCT) and dCi 130 diesel (6MT). Power is sent to the front wheels in all models. Noteworthy features include colour head-up display, 7-inch color TFT digital counter in the instrument panel, R-Link 2 infotainment system with an 8.7-inch display, Easy Park Assist and Lane Departure Warning system.
The 2016 Renault Megane Sedan will be sold in more than 20 countries around the world. The markets officially confirmed are Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Israel, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Morocco, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine. The Renault Megane Sedan will reportedly be launched in India in 2017.
