India: Bus Fall into Ravine 76 Meters with 52 Fatalities
A crowded bus has been dropped, Saturday, Aug. 11, in a ravine 76 meters in a mountainous region of Himachal Pradesh, in northern India. 52 people died and 45 others were injured, according to local authorities.

Many people were aboard the bus of 42 seats because their vehicle had broken down. The bus, carrying over 100 passengers, including many on the roof.

If the cause of the accident has not been determined, it would seem, according to some witnesses, the driver lost control of his vehicle on a steep slope.

While some corpses were taken by families to be incinerated, others were incinerated on site, the state government has sent four truckloads of wood in order to perform the cremation of bodies from the scene of the accident.
