The Renault Kwid is the company’s first product to ride on the low cost CMF-A platform, which has been heavily localized in India. The exterior styling is a cross between an SUV and hatchback, which has managed to garner significant interest in markets like India. It measures 3,679 mm in length, 1,579 mm in width, 1,478 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 2,422 mm, ground clearance of 180 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 28 liters.
The top-end variant of the Renault Kwid features body-painted bumpers, wheel covers, a 7-inch MEDIANAV touchscreen display with Bluetooth and USB support, power windows in the front, driver’s airbag and a digital instrument display as standard.
Under the hood is a 799 cc three-cylinder petrol engine capable of 54 PS at 5,678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4,386 rpm. It is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and is capable of a fuel economy of 25.17 km/L (in India).
