In Thailand, the Isuzu MU-X is available in three trim levels: CD, DVD and DVD Navi. The Chevrolet Trailblazer-based SUV is offered in a total of five different configurations. It can be had with either the RZ4E-TC 1.9-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that develops 110 kW (150 PS) and 350 Nm of torque or the 4JJ1-TCX 3.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 130 kW (177 PS) and 380 Nm of torque.
Transmission choices include 6-speed manual and 6-speed Rev Tronic automatic. A four-wheel drive system can be had only in the 3.0L model, and in the DVD Navi trim level.
The Isuzu MU-X is currently being tested in India, spy shots revealed earlier this month. The India-spec Isuzu MU-X could be powered by either the aforementioned 1.9-litre diesel engine or the 2.5-litre diesel engine from the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pickup. It will be assembled at the company’s new plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, and launch pan-India next year.
