The Jaguar F-Type SVR Is Prettier Than The 911 Turbo, But Is It Faster?
Oftentimes a drag race can appear equal on paper, but then you look a little closer and realize that just because the numbers match up doesn’t mean the two cars are evenly matched.
Auto Express recently got the Jaguar F-Type SVR and Porsche 911 Turbo together for a little race to see which one is faster through a one-mile sprint. Both offer 4WD but only one comes with an ultra-fancy launch control system and a dual-clutch transmission. Those factors make a world of difference in deciding a close (on paper) race.
It's not a spoiler to say that the Jag loses this race, although it does manage to look quite dashing in defeat. The real shock is by how much the F-Type SVR loses. Check out this video if you want to be even more impressed by the 911 Turbo.
