The 1.2 LS Kia is powered by the same motor from the 1.2 EX grade; a 1.2-litre Kappa MPI engine producing 65 kW (87 hp) of power at 6,000 rpm and 120 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while an automatic transmission is optional.
LS is the base grade in the Picanto’s range. Its exterior gets body-colored bumpers at the front and rear, body-colored door handles and side mirror caps, and 14-inch steel wheels shod with 165/60 R14 tyres and full wheel covers. It doesn’t get foglamps, indicators in the ORVMs, alloy rims and chrome plated door handles.
Inside, the 1.2 LS feature air-conditioning, tilt-adjustable steering, a trip computer, height adjustable headrests, 60:40 split rear folding seats and a luggage floor box. The Picanto LS is not fitted with a standard radio, but is equipped with two front speakers and an Aux/USB connection wired to work with an aftermarket radio unit.
