The Kia Sportage is 4,480 mm long, 1,855 mm wide and 1,645 mm (1,655 mm with roof rails) tall. It has a 2,670 mm wheelbase. Now in its fourth generation, the Kia Sportage is underpinned by the same platform as the third-gen Hyundai Tucson, which is available in India. Kia offers it with 132 PS 1.6L GDI, 177 1.6L T-GDI, 155 PS/157 PS 2.0L MPI and 184 PS 2.4L GDI petrol engines and 115 PS 1.7L CRDi and 178 PS/185 PS 2.0L CRDi diesel engines. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. An AWD system is available in select configurations.
The Kia Sportage on display at Auto Expo 2018 is in the GT-Line grade. The Kia Sportage GT-Line looks sportier with features like high-gloss radiator grille, 'ice-cube' LED fog lamps, aluminium-effect skid plates, window surround moulding, side sill garnish, 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-tip exhaust tailpipes and tailgate garnish. The sporty theme continues inside with an all-black colour theme, black high-gloss switch pads and centre fascia, D-cut leather steering wheel with GT-Line logo and sport pedals.
The current Kia Sportage is not an India-bound model. Kia is working on a mid-life facelift for the C-SUV.
