Latest Fast 8 teaser trailer gives a peek at behind-the-scenes action
The franchise is going some very exciting places in its eighth outing, and we can't wait to see more of it.

The stars of Fast 8, the latest installment in the Fast and Furious franchise, have a new teaser for this spring's automotive action extravaganza. While the clip doesn't show much, consider it an amuse-bouche ahead of the full trailer arriving on December 11.

Much of the new teaser focuses on the series' stars like Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson talking about the franchise's emphasis on family as clips of the previous film's play. Brief shots and behind-the-scenes looks at Fast 8 start about two minutes into this video, and there's still a lot to see here. For example, Charlize Theron gets some screen time. She's reportedly this flick's baddie, but there's a brief glimpse at her with Diesel that might suggest otherwise.

The Fast and Furious series is nothing without its automotive stunts, and a few of them appear in this teaser. It shows another look at cars falling out of a parking garage in Cleveland, Ohio, and a wrecking ball demolishing some other vehicles. There's also a new looks at the race in Cuba and through the streets of New York City. The action in the Big Apple looks to be a highlight of the new film, even if we knew Cleveland acts as a stand-in for Manhattan in some shots.

Fast 8 reportedly sets up a trilogy of films to end the long-running series. After that, spin-offs could keep the popular franchise in theaters. For example, there are rumors of a movie possibly starring Johnson's character Hobbs.

Fast 8 will arrive in theaters on April 14. Universal Studios will be looking for another big hit after Furious 7's earnings of over $1.5 billion worldwide.
