Luxurious Ssangyong KEV2 SUV debuts at Seoul Motor Show
Mahindra-owned Ssangyong will present a new concept car at the 2011 Seoul International Motor Show in Korea. The Ssangyong KEV2 Concept is an electric crossover based on the recently unveiled and India bound Korando C.

Gone are the days where Ssangyong cars were considered poorly finished Mercedes Benz derivatives. The design language seen on the Korando has seen further improvements and the KEV2 concept is an office retreat with space reserved for four individuals.

The layout is something out of a German luxury sedan. A number of LCD touch screens and an advanced interface will make everyone sit up and take notice. There is generous rear leg room and the well-bolstered seats and extra thigh support will make long journeys less tiring. Passengers will be seated in an environment filled with controls, knobs and buttons allowing them to just about adjust almost every comfort parameter to their preferences.

There’s no word on the launch date or estimated price but a lot depends on how Mahindra shapes the troubled image of Ssangyong. This is essential if they aspire to sell expensive vehicles. It won’t be easy and won’t happen overnight but with such concepts and vehicles they are slowly getting to a much better position.
