Mansory Goes Waterborne With the Mansory x Pirelli 42 Special Edition Speedboat
Germany-based tuner Mansory produces divisive work, but whichever side of the fence you're on, you can't deny that all their customizations are instantly recognizable. They're now taking their unmistakable styling to water with what is the first project under Mansory Marine.

Automotive customization is generally divisive, if only on account of the fact that many gearheads consider a car perfect or at least a finished product as-is. To each their own, as the saying goes, so Mansory caters to a very specific type of client: the kind that wants a boost in performance and is courting attention at the same time.

As noted above, whether Mansory tune-ups are to your liking or not, you can't deny that they all share the same styling. For good or for worse, a Mansory car is immediately recognizable, and that's a win in itself – for the shop and its roster of clients.

The Pirelli 42 Special Edition is proof of that. It's the Mansory version of the popular luxury speedboat, which brings enhanced comfort but not improved performance, and that Mansory look through the liberal use of exposed carbon fiber and leather. For once, Mansory refrains from adding pops of color, which is a good thing.

The Mansory x Pirelli 42 Special Edition is "The same RIB, [but with] bolder attitude," which is a fancy way of saying that improvements are cosmetic only. But they do make a world of difference, turning this unassuming but still fancy walkaround RIB into a more aggressive presence on water.

The list of these cosmetic upgrades includes a couple of roof-mounted Hella roof lights encased in carbon fiber, a starry sky with integrated LED lights in the ceiling, a new Mansory steering wheel, accelerator and joysticks, seawater-resistant leather on all the seats, including the lounge below deck, a custom speaker also encased in carbon fiber, Mansory logos about everywhere you can rest your eye, a custom paintjob on the engines, and carbon fiber everywhere from the cup holders to the cockpit.

Designed by Mannerfelt Design Team, a non-Mansory Pirelli 42 comes with seating for 14 people and a generously sized tanning area at the bow. Total length is 13.10 meters (42.9 feet) with a beam of 4.2 meters (13.7 feet), while power comes from three R500 Mercury outboard engines. A 2023 model of the RIB retails for €599,900 ($647,800 at the current exchange rate), but the price of the Mansory Special Edition is anyone's guess.

Much like all Mansory projects share the same distinctive look, they also share the same kind of secrecy around pricing. Or, better said, if you have to ask how much a Mansory x Pirelli 42 speedboat costs, you most definitely can't afford it.
