Mazda 3 Sedan Finally Unveiled
Leaked a week ago, Mazda has finally gotten around to unveiling the 3 Sedan.

Following the reveal of the hatchback and some leaked images of the sedan, the al-new 2014 Mazda3 Sedan has finally been unveiled with a string of pictures so you can purr over the stylish four-door from every angle. Save for the traditional notchback trunk, the sedan apes the hatchback styling in every way. Expected to be more popular than the hatch Stateside, Mazda’s Kodo design language on the sedan is also said to be slipperier than its smaller sibling with a drag coefficient of 0.26 vs. 0.28.

Lengthwise, it stands 120 mm longer with more boot width and cargo capacity but with a similar sized wheelbase. To recap, the Mazda3 will come with a choice of two four-cylinder engines: 155-hp 2.0-liter, and 184-hp 2.5-liter units, both mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic box. Outside the US, it will be offered with a 100-hp 1.5-liter gasoline unit, a 2.0-liter gasoline unit with either 120 hp or 165 hp, and a 150-hp 2.2-liter clean diesel engine. Pricing is yet to be revealed.
