Mégane Renaultsport 265 Trophy is sinister, limited to 500 units

Renault has gone off the hot hatch deep end again, one-upping itself with the limited-edition 2012 Renault Megane Renaultsport 265 Trophy, the fastest road-going Renault ever.
With 265 raucous ponies on tap, it outdoes the Megane Renaultsport 250, the next-biggest dog in the stable, by 15 horsepower.
The extra power cuts the fleet-footed hatch's 0-100 time from 6.1 seconds to 6 flat, on the way to a 255 km/h top end, up from 251. Not shabby, considering the car's lowly, utilitarian three-door origins. Now the bad news: we certainly won't see it here. That, and Renault has said it will only build 500.
