According to newspaper Folha de S.Paulo, the tenth generation Honda Civic will launch in Brazil in April 2016. So far, the new Civic was once spotted testing on Brazilian soil in last September.

The new Civic will be identical to the 4-door sedan sold in the U.S. Compared to the outgoing model, the new Civic sedan measures nearly 2 inches (50 mm) wider and 1 inch lower (25 mm), with a 1.2-inch (30.5 mm) longer wheelbase. It gets a bold “Flying H grille” flanked by optional LED headlamps, low bumper that has a 3-part design with foglamps on either side.

The interior of the 2016 Honda Civic drops the split-dashboard layout for a conventional single dashboard design. The instrument binnacle now rests on the dashboard, which houses a large display for the tachometer, digital speedometer, and fuel efficiency data. The center console has a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The U.S.-spec Civic is available with two engine options: a 2.0 litre naturally-aspirated VTEC DOHC four-cylinder engine with 158 hp at 6,500 rpm and 187 Nm at 4,200 rpm, and a 1.5 turbo VTEC mill with 174 hp at 5,500 rpm and 220 Nm of torque from 1,800 to 5,000 rpm. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual (2.0 variant only) and a CVT.
