They call it a concept as the sales of the car has not started yet. Malaysia is likely to get the Sunny NISMO first, probably by the last quarter of this year.
Nissan says that the NISMO tuned Sunny features an ‘aerodynamic design’ and ‘enhanced handling characteristics with superior agility’.
On the outside, you get front and rear bumper spoilers with side skirts and a rear boot mounted spoiler. You also get 17-inch alloy wheels (205/45), a sports suspension and a NISMO exhaust muffler creating ‘a sporty sound’.
The NISMO tuned Sunny made its global premiere at the 2013 Super GT International Series, Malaysia.
Power comes from the same 1.5-liter four-cylinder HR15 engine. While this engine produces 99PS of power and 134 Nm of torque in India, it produces 102 PS and 139Nm of torque in Malaysia thanks to the Nissan CVTC (Continuously Variable-valve Timing Control).
For Malaysia, the Sunny gets a traditional 4-speed automatic gearbox, while we get an option of a 5-speed manual or a Nissan X-TRONIC CVT gearbox.
Prices have not been announced for the NISMO Sunny yet.
