Nissan Teana Mildly Facelifted in Japan
Nissan’s D segment car, the Teana, has received a subtle facelift in Japan. The changes are so extremely subtle that you need a magnifying lens to spot the differences. The easiest to spot are the new alloy wheels and redesigned tail lamps.

The projector lamp on this facelift is picked out of the facelift of the Chinese Teana launched last year. Nissan offers a special Teana Axis bodykit as an option. This bodykit  changes the look of the front grille and bumper. It is designed by a company named AUTECH from Japan.

In the new lineup, there is an additional variant called the 250XL sporty selection. This variant comes with redesigned 17-inch alloy wheels, Black interiors, black-tinted grille, leather-trimmed doors, Carwings navigation system, leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, leather-wrapped gear knob, leather seats and side sill protector.

The most important change in the facelift is the display’s shift to white text and the addition of two new body colours, blue steel and pearl white.

The new Nissan Teana comes with two engine choices, a 2.5 litre V6 that makes 182hp/232Nm, and a 3.5 litre V6.

The Teana will not complain if it is endowed with these upgrades here in India. The car is assembled at the Chennai plant with components flown in from Japan. We hope to see the Teana facelift in India during the festive season or early next year.
