The Nissan Terrano AMT will feature the ZF-sourced 6-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) from the Renault Duster AMT which went on sale in March this year. Like the Duster, Nissan is likely to sell the AMT-equipped Terrano only in the more powerful 110 PS state of tune.
The 1.5-liter K9K four-cylinder diesel engine develops 110 PS and 248 Nm of torque, and returns 19.64 km/l on the Terrano. These figures would continue unchanged with the AMT gearbox in place, though Nissan could use the CMO10 & T4 E&E (Engine and Electronics) architecture for better performance, ride and handling; the same was introduced on the Duster facelift this year.
The 6-speed AMT module also includes ESP and Hill Start Assist in the feature list. Other features on the Terrano include dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, central locking, front and rear power windows, 2-DIN Bluetooth-enabled music system and a manual AC.
