Sporting fresh design elements on the outside, the 2016 Innova is built on an all-new ladder-frame platform, which it reportedly shares with the new 2016 Fortuner and Hilux Revo. The front fascia is characterized with LED projector headlights, an all-new dual-slat chrome grille and LED position lights, whereas the rear sees split taillights, an almost rectangular windscreen and a spoiler with integrated LED brake lights.
Inside, Toyota seems to have upped the luxury quotient by using faux-wood inserts across the width of the dashboard, and the steering wheel, a chilled glovebox, an all-new touchscreen entertainment system (depending on the variant, a 7- or 8-inch screen will be on offer), automatic climate control, a color screen for the MID, and a chilled glovebox.
The 2016 Innova is confirmed to get a 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 2.4-liter diesel engine in the Indonesian market. Both engine variants will get an option of a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, and will be offered in three variants – G, V and Q.
