Note that the top-end Perodua Bezza fitted with dual frontal seatbelt reminders (SBR) and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) was awarded five stars, while the lower variants were rated 4 stars. As standard, the Bezza is fitted with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Isofix child seat mounts (top tether). Still, it is an ASEAN NCAP requirement to be equipped with the an ESP and seat belt reminder to receive a five-star rating.
It is based on the Perodua Axia’s platform, and measures 4,150 mm in length, 1,620 mm in width and 1,510 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,455 mm. The Bezza’s closest rival would be the Proton Saga, which is 128 mm longer, 60 mm wider, 20 mm taller, and has a 10 mm longer wheelbase.
The Bezza will launch in three grades: Standard G, Premium X and Advance. The Toyota-sourced engine lineup will include a 1.0L VVT-i three-cylinder petrol engine with 67 hp and 91 Nm of torque and 1.3 Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine with 94 hp and 121 Nm of torque. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
