Will replace the Clio Mio in the Brazilian market. In 2016, Renault will introduce its all new entry level Renault Kwid in Brazil, which is expected to replace the larger Renault Clio Mio in the company’s local portfolio.

The Renault Kwid made its global premiere in India, and will launch during the country’s festive season (between September-October period). However, the Brazilian-spec Renault Kwid will, reportedly, be slightly different from the Indian model, with respect to design and equipment. For instance, it could be fitted with ABS as standard, since it’s the minimum safety feature required to be fitted in a Brazilian-spec car.

According to previous reports, the Renault Kwid for Brazil will pack a 1.0-liter three-cylinder 77 hp engine, which could run on both petrol and ethanol. It will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while an AMT (automated manual transmission) option is also expected.

The hatchback measures 3.68 meters in length and 1.58 meters in width, and is powered by an all-new 0.8-liter three-cylinder petrol engine for the Indian market, with class-leading fuel efficiency.
