In a recent press release, shared at the bottom of the page, the automaker has announced that this model will be shown to the world on June 23, 2026, at 18:25 CET (12:25 PM EST), with the world premiere taking place in Monnetier-Mornex, France. That’s not all Skoda had to say about the first-ever Peaq, because it has also spoken about some of its styling cues, while also releasing some teaser sketches.
In plain Skoda fashion, the sketches are somewhat exaggerated, as the real thing will look less sporty. However, we can now at least see the T-shaped headlights better, and the company also mentioned the glossy black Tech-Deck Face, and the rather intricate light strip at the front. The automaker also spoke about the “Volcano-shaped bumper, with its pronounced lower contour and clearly defined horizontal line.”
The high shoulder line and the wide D-pillars are also mentioned in the press release, alongside the flush-mounted door handles that were integrated into the bodywork for a cleaner overall exterior. At the rear, the Skoda Peaq features a styling similar to the front fascia due to the T-shaped taillights. The automaker also speaks about the “connecting element” that forms “the unmistakable loop motif,” which “sets the Peaq apart while ensuring it is recognizable at first glance.”
Skoda’s battery-electric alternative to the Kodiaq was previewed by the Vision 7S Concept from 2022. It has a 116.7-inch (2,965 mm) long wheelbase, measures 191.9 inches (4,874 mm) from bumper to bumper, and this makes it bigger than its ICE-powered sibling. It will have a cargo area of up to 35.7 cubic feet (1,010 lt) at the rear, and a tiny 1.3 cubic feet (37 lt) frunk.
Some of the highlights will include the ergonomic massaging seats with leg rests, a head-up display with augmented reality, an electrochromic panoramic roof, a premium audio system, a new 13.6-inch infotainment system, and other goodies, though most of them will probably be reserved for the range-topping grade.
The Skoda Peaq is based on the VW Group’s MEB platform, so it shares plenty of traits with the Enyaq and Elroq, as well as the Cupra Born, Tavascan, Audi Q4 e-tron, Q5 e-tron, Ford Capri EV, Explorer EV, Volkswagen ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.6, ID.7, and many others.
At launch, it will feature two battery sizes and three powertrain options. The base version will have a 63 kWh battery feeding electrons to a rear-mounted motor that generates 201 hp. The 90 and 90x variants will get a 91 kWh battery, enjoying 282 and 295 horsepower, respectively.
Production will take place at the Mlada Boleslav factory in the Czech Republic, and the order books for the Skoda Peaq will open in Europe this summer.
