Here are the scooter's live images from the show.
The Suzuki Burgman 650 is the brand's flagship scooter offering for the international market. The bulky looking scooter comes with a small adjustable (forward and backward by 50mm) back support for the rider; and a cushioned backrest for the pillion as well. A large electronically adjustable windscreen sits atop the apron-mounted dual headlights. The underseat storage has a generous 50-litre capacity. The analogue-digital combo cluster shows a variety of information like average fuel consumption; oil level indicator; oil change indicator; drive mode indicator (for Drive and Power modes), and a gear position indicator (for Manual mode).
At the heart, the Suzuki Burgman 650 employs a 638 cc twin cylinder DOHC engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection. It generates 55 PS at 7,000 rpm, and 62 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The powerplant pairs with a Suzuki Electronically-controlled CVT (SECVT). It offers three distinct transmission modes: two fully automatic modes (Drive and Power) and Manual (5-speed, button operated). Other notable electronic features include heated grips and seats, and an immobilizer.
The tubular frame with aluminium swingarm rides on telescopic front fork and swingarm-type coil springs at the rear. Twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear come with dual-channel ABS as standard. The Suzuki Burgman 650 features a 15-litre fuel tank, and weighs 277 kg, kerb. The scooter is only for showcase, and is unlikely to enter our market.
