This follows a one-off Suzuki Ciaz special edition that the company revealed at the 2015 Bangkok International Auto Salon in June. Finished in a bright red exterior paint job and featuring a sporty body kit, the one-off model was showcased to preview the production-spec Suzuki Ciaz RS that will be launched next week.
Speaking of the production-spec model, it will look nearly identical to the Maruti Ciaz RS that is sold in India. Exclusive exterior features include an aero kit for a lower stance, side skirts, and a body-colored rear wing. Inside, it gets an all black theme with silver accents, leather upholstery, and a 7 inch Suzuki Smart Connect with Apple CarPlay support.
While it may look cosmetically enhanced, the engine lineup remains untouched. It will source power from a 1.25-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine (K12B) generating 91 hp (output as reported by Thai media), which is paired to a CVT automatic transmission.
