Deliveries of the Suzuki V-Strom 250 have commenced in Japan. The quarter-litre adventure tourer is imported to the country from China.

Suzuki Japan has a sales target of 15,000 units a year.

Powering the Suzuki V-Strom 250 is a 248 cc twin-cylinder mill which is capable of producing 24 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 22 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed unit. The fuel efficiency is claimed to be 31.6 km/l (WMTC).

The Suzuki V-Strom 250 has a seat height of 800 mm and has a kerb weight of 188 kg. The fuel tank can store 17 litres of petrol. The bike measures 2,150 mm in length, 880 mm in width and 1,295 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 1,425 mm, a ground clearance of 160 mm, and comes with a centre stand.

Standard features in the Suzuki V-Storm 250 include a tall windscreen, side case attachment and knuckle guards. The bike also gets an all-digital instrumentation and a 12-volt charging socket. Suzuki claims that the engine will provide maximum acceleration between 20 km/h and 90 km/h. Brakes include discs at both ends.

The rear suspension gets a seven-step adjustable (preload) monoshock. The headlamp gets halogen bulb and at the rear is an LED taillamp. Colour options include Pearl Nebular Black with Solid Dazzling Cool Yellow, Diamond Red Metallic and Pearl Nebular Black.

The adventure tourer Suzuki V-Strom 250 in Japan has a price tag of JPY 570,240 (Rs 173560).
