Suzuki XBee launched in Japan
Suzuki introduced the Suzuki Xbee (cross-bee) concept at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show in October. The production-spec Suzuki XBee has now gone on sale in Japan.

The Xbee is a crossover wagon that offers a spacious cabin and user-friendliness of a wagon along with the styling and rough-road capabilities of an SUV. The small crossover measures 3,670 mm in length, 1,670 mm in width and 1,705 mm in height. It has a 2,435 mm wheelbase and a 180 mm ground clearance.

The Suzuki Xbee is underpinned by the Heartect platform. It employs the K10C Boosterjet petrol engine and a mild-hybrid system. The 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine produces 99 PS and 150 Nm of torque. The mild-hybrid system's WA05A electric motor generates 3.1 PS and 50 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, while a 4WD system is optional. The fuel economy (JC08 test cycle) is rated at 22 km/l (2WD)/20.6 km/l (4WD).

Noteworthy features of the Suzuki Xbee include LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, genuine leather-wrapped steering wheel and gearshift knob, keyless entry, automatic climate control, cruise control, 360-degree view camera, Dual Sensor Brake Support (DSBS) collision-mitigating system and Back-up Brake Support collision-mitigating system.

The Xbee from Suzuki is a JDM-only model.
