This Is the World's First Tesla Cybertruck in Midnight Purple
The Tesla Cybertruck has finally hit the road, following a four-year wait from the moment the concept car was unveiled until deliveries started. But Tesla does not offer many customization options for the electric pickup truck. So, new owners try to do anything to make their vehicles special.

And here is the world's first Cybertruck in Midnight Purple.

Elon Musk said it right from the start. The stainless steel body of the Cybertruck would be next to impossible to paint. So all Cybertrucks roll off the production line of the Giga Texas plant in the silver shade of the material. However, unable to paint the model, those who have already got their truck delivered have taken it to various shops and wrapped it in various colors.

And we finally get one in a daring shade: Midnight Purple. At a first glimpse, it might look gloss black. But in direct sunlight or artificial light, the color goes lighter.

Joseph Torbati is the owner of OCDetailing, based in Fremont, California, not far from Teslas headquarters. He conducted the procedure. His team used one of Stek's color paint protective films called DYNOpurple, which is 8 millimeters thick. That thickness should make it hold up better than the usual vinyl used for wrapping.

It is a high-tech material that is puncture-resistant and hydrophobic, meaning that it features water-repelling properties. That even makes the vehicle easier to wash.

The team also tinted the windows to keep the sunlight out of the cabin and reject the heat. Now, a protective film also covers the front LED strip and on the rear lights to protect them from scratching.

It is already the fourth Cybertruck that OCDetailing has worked on. The tonneau cover has also been coated for protection reasons. The PPF that the shop uses offers protection against rock chips, scratches, insects, bird droppings, road oils, yellowing, and water marks. Furthermore, it is self-healing by heat or hot water. The wrap job comes with a ten-year warranty against delimitation, bubbling, and cracking.

The purple Cybertruck is probably the most daring of all. We have already met the matte black pickup truck, driving out of the T Sportline shop. They also did a gloss black Cybertruck, which was reportedly delivered to a "VIP customer." We do know several celebrities that got their Cybertruck delivered, with Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian and the "Happy" singer Pharrell Williams being among them. But none of them has personalized their model yet.

Later on, the Snow White Cybertruck followed, driving out of the same customization shop, sporting aftermarket wheels with a black finish and contrasting red brake calipers.

Next up was the Cybertruck wrapped in military green. This example is the star of a YouTube channel set up by a family who documents life in the company of the electric pickup truck.
