Toyota will offer the Toyota Yaris in India with only a 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i petrol engine. This engine should deliver 105 bhp and 140 Nm of torque. It will send power to the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The market launch of the Maruti Ciaz rival is said to take place in April this year.
