Drag Race Reveals The King Of The Supercars
Quite a lot of noise and emphasis is placed on a car’s ability to hit that magic number, 100 km/h, the quickest, but how accurate a gauge is that really?

Most of today's supercars will clear that speed from standstill in less than four seconds, but there's much more to learn about a car after those precious seconds are up. That's why Top Gear magazine got together a McLaren 570S, Porsche 911 Turbo S, Audi R8 V10 Plus, and the newest Nissan GT-R together for a drag race. Suffice it to say, the results are a bit surprising. Digging into the cars themselves, it's tough to guess who will win

The Nissan GT-R and Audi R8 both have all-wheel drive to help them get off the line stupidly quick. On the other hand, the Porsche has its engine hanging over the rear axle, providing some extra weight to keep the rear drive wheels hooked to the pavement once the floodgates of horsepower are opened. This leaves the McLaren in a disadvantaged position, but the British supercar didn't get to be one of 2016's favorite cars for no reason. The engineers who built the McLaren spent many tedious hours fine tuning its traction control system to help it put the power down effectively. The results surprised us all.
