Ultimate Hypercar Drag Race: Ferrari LaFerrari Vs. Bugatti Veyron
Millions of dollars, thousands of horses, two cars, one drag strip. While you’ve probably seen quarter-mile drag races between two cars with as much horsepower as these hypercars, it’s unlikely you’ve seen such a valuable pair of exotics face up on a drag strip before.

Priced at well over a million dollars each, with production limited to under 500 units, it is an exceptionally rare occurrence for such supercar royalty to meet up – especially on a closed stretch of abandoned runway. And the result is as close as you would like too. There’s no outright winner here.

The Bugatti Veyron delivers 1,001 hp and 922 lb-ft of torque from its 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 unit, but weighs a hefty 1,888 kg. The LaFerrari is a lightweight in comparison, tipping the scales at 1,255 kg. Power though, is a mere 950 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque, courtesy of a V12-hybrid setup. So, who’s your money on?
