Sebastian Vettel kept on his blockbuster season when he partnered Michael Schumacher to victory for Germany in the Nations Cup Race of Champions in Dusseldorf for the fourth consecutive year.

Formula One world champion Vettel and seven-times former F1 champion Schumacher suffered surprise defeats in their opening heats of the end-of-season event - which brings together drivers from a variety of motorsport disciplines, contesting head-to-head races in a variety of cars. But the pair regrouped to advance on a tie-break after wins in their three remaining group heats. Bertrand Baguette - Schumacher's conqueror in their opening heat - and Jeroen Bleekemolen were dispatched by the Germans in their semi-final, followed by British touring car duo Jason Plato and Andy Priaulx in the final.
