Vin Diesel Is In Havana, Cuba, Filming Fast 8
We're less than a year from Fast 8's debut and filming is well underway. And today, that means travels to Cuba for star Vin Diesel and director F. Gary Gray.

The duo is in Havana, along with a lot of crew, bystanders, and the signs of a chase scene in the making – see that Mercedes-Benz M-Class camera car and the doorless ratrod in the background? They're not there for show, meaning Dominic Toretto and crew are going to get up to some antics in the newly opened nation. Diesel takes the time to salute the Cuban fans, while also talking a bit about his character's Cuban heritage.

According to Moviefone, Fast 8 is the first Hollywood blockbuster to film in Cuba since relations between the communist country and the United States warmed back up. Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell, and Jason Statham are joining Vin Diesel. Fast 8 also marks Eva Mendes' return to the series, after her turn as an undercover FBI agent in 2 Fast 2 Furious. Newcomers will include Charlize Theron and Scott Eastwood.

Fast 8 is scheduled to open on April 14, 2017. You can check out Diesel's Instagram post below.
