What Do Celebs Drive When They Want To Go Under The Radar?
Famous people like to show off and a car is a great way to get attention. Although not all celebrities go around driving bright yellow supercars all of the time.

Sometimes they just get tired of the attention and want to be able to get where they want to go without drawing a crowd. So, a McLaren simply won't do. Some celebrities will get a terrible car like a Prius for daily driving, but there are some who buy a discrete car that is actually good to drive. Here are our top five celebrity sleepers.

Jeremy Clarkson has owned some amazing cars in the past, such as a Ford GT, Ferrari 458, and a Mercedes CLK Black. However, all of these cars are quite attention-grabbing. That might be why Clarkson bought himself a Volkswagen GTI. Clarkson drove a GTI on "Top Gear" where it beat a BMW M135i that lost control in the wet. Clarkson was not turned off by the Dieselgate scandal. He even said on Twitter that he "couldn't give a stuff about how much nitrogen it's producing." We think the GTI is a great choice for a celeb who wants a fun car that doesn't draw attention.

During the Super Bowl, Mini aired a commercial that challenged people's preconceived notions about the brand. This "Defy Labels" ad featured several athletes, such as Serena Williams and pro skater Tony Hawk. The point of the ad was to prove that Mini is more that just a car that is "small," "girly," or even "gay" as some people say. Tony Hawk didn't just show up to read some lines and leave. He actually drives a Mini Countryman John Cooper Works Edition. This is the most powerful version of the Countryman with a 208-hp 1.6-liter four-cylinder. Hawk's Mini looks pretty cool with black paint and red brake calipers.

Rowan Atkinson is a very well-known car enthusiast, having owned some amazing models like a Mercedes SLS and a McLaren F1. However, when you pull up somewhere and lift up the crazy doors on either of those cars, you are bound to draw a crowd. So what does Mr. Bean drive around when he doesn't feel like crashing a supercar? For every day driving duties Atkinson relies on a tiny Audi A1. The A1 isn't the fastest car in the world, but it is very convenient to drive in a busy city like London. The A1 comes with a variety of three- and four cylinder engines, all of which are far more efficient than the 6.2-liter V8 in his SLS.

Just because a car is discrete doesn't mean it has to be slow. This is certainly the case with the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. The Jeep is powered by a 6.4-liter V8 with 475 hp. This can launch the heavy SUV to 100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. Clearly the Jeep is fast enough for famous singer Justin Timberlake. Timberlake's SRT8 is blacked out, which should help him stay under the radar when he goes out. The windows are tinted so that people won't know who is driving this bad-ass American SUV. Instead of an expensive German SUV, Timberlake stuck with the American Jeep. Perhaps it attracts less attention on the streets of LA where most celebrities driving something European, like a Range Rover.

The final car on our list is owned by a rapper. This is surprising because rappers are known for owning some of the most eye-catching cars. However, Ludacris sticks with his 1993 Acura Legend. The Acura Legend was not a bad car when it was new, but seems like it wouldn't be able to compete for a rapper's garage spot against new cars like the Bentley Continental GT. However, Ludacris loves this car so much that he had it completely redone with 280,000 miles on the clock. The car was featured at the 2015 SEMA show after it was restored beyond its former glory. We commend Ludacris for his love of this car as not many celebrities stick with their first ride.
