The 2016 Honda Freed was revealed in July and spied testing in Japan just earlier this month ahead of its market launch in the country in September.

Now, the 2016 Honda Freed Modulo has been spotted for the first time, by Twitter user wonder_motul.

The 2016 Honda Freed Modulo is essentially an accessorised variant of the 2016 Honda Freed with a sportier styling. The Modulo variant features a unique grille design, side skirts and door visors.

The 2016 Honda Freed's complete specifications haven't been listed online yet, but the company has revealed that the mini-MPV has grown by 50 mm in length with an overall length of 4,265 mm. In Japan, it will be sold in two versions: two-row (5-seat) and three-row (6- or 7-seat), and three trim levels: EX, G (with Honda Sensing) and B.

The 2016 Honda Freed will be available with a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine and a Sport Hybrid i-DCD (intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive) hybrid powertrain. The hybrid model will reportedly feature a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Four-wheel drive will be available in both petrol and petrol-electric hybrid models.
